AgileEngine is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services and APIs while modernizing application architecture. You will design and implement scalable Java/Spring Boot backends and integrate with an Angular frontend to deliver high-quality features.

You will work in cross-functional squads, apply domain-driven design, and focus on robust RESTful APIs, performant SQL and modern cloud/container practices. This role offers flex-time with remote and in-office options.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid working knowledge of Angular.
• Strong understanding of OOD and software design patterns.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and understanding standard API protocols.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong SQL skills for complex queries and transactional DB work.
• Interest in server-side logic, performance, and architecture.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services and APIs while modernizing application architecture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Spend the majority of your time (approx. 70–80%) designing and implementing robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain the supporting Angular frontend, ensuring a seamless connection between the UI and your backend logic.
• Lead the transition from traditional database-centric designs toward a domain-driven structure (DDD).
• Architect RESTful APIs that prioritize proper HTTP verbs and clean, scalable patterns over legacy RPC styles.
• Work within cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features while maintaining the cohesive and proactive spirit of the team.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot, along with solid working knowledge of Angular.
• A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software design patterns.
• Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a clear understanding of standard API protocols.
• Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong SQL skills to navigate and optimize very complex SQL, along with robust transactional database experience and a thorough understanding of enterprise-level, high-transactional platforms. Lacking this specific database proficiency will be a direct reason for rejection.
• A passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience working with spec-driven development or related AI-Driven Software Development Life Cycle approaches.
• Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience refactoring legacy structures into modern, domain-driven architectures.
