AgileEngine is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services and APIs while modernizing application architecture. You will design and implement robust backend services with Java and Spring Boot, and build the Angular frontend to connect seamlessly with backend logic.

You will lead the shift from traditional database-centric designs toward a domain-driven structure (DDD) and architect RESTful APIs that emphasize scalable patterns over RPC.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience with Angular.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and software design patterns.
• Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle and JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong SQL skills and transactional DB experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services and APIs while modernizing application architecture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• - Spend the majority of your time (approx. 70–80%) designing and implementing robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• - Build and maintain the supporting Angular frontend, ensuring a seamless connection between the UI and your backend logic.
• - Lead the transition from traditional database-centric designs toward a domain-driven structure (DDD).
• - Architect RESTful APIs that prioritize proper HTTP verbs and clean, scalable patterns over legacy RPC styles.
• - Work within cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features while maintaining the cohesive and proactive spirit of the team.

MUST HAVES

• - 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot, along with solid working knowledge of Angular.
• - A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software design patterns.
• - Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a clear understanding of standard API protocols.
• - Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle, and JPA/Hibernate.
• - Strong SQL skills to navigate and optimize very complex SQL, along with robust transactional database experience and a thorough understanding of enterprise-level, high-transactional platforms. Lacking this specific database proficiency will be a direct reason for rejection.
• - A passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture.

NICE TO HAVES

• - Experience working with spec-driven development or related AI-Driven Software Development Life Cycle approaches.
• - Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker).
• - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• - Experience refactoring legacy structures into modern, domain-driven architectures.
