Job Title: Full Stack Developer (Java + React)

Location: Full remote Brasil

Description:

As Full Stack Engineer, you will work on one of the world's largest social media platforms which deals with a few petabytes of data coming to the system daily. You will contribute as part of an R&D self-organized team working in a challenging, innovative environment for our client.

Investigate, create, and implement solutions for many technical challenges using cutting-edge technologies, including building/enhancing data processing platforms enabling the work of software used by hundreds of millions of users.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Obtains tasks from the project lead or Team Lead (TL), prepares functional and design specifications, and approves them with all stakeholders.
2. Ensures that assigned area/areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives.
3. Provides estimations, agrees on task duration with the manager and contributes to the project plan of assigned area.
4. Evaluating existing data systems.
5. Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
6. Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
7. Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
8. Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.
9. Understand the business drivers and analytical use cases and translate these to data products.
10. Design, implement and maintain pipelines that produce business-critical data reliably and efficiently using cloud technology.
11. Addresses area-level risks, and provides and implements a mitigation plan.
12. Reports about area readiness/quality, and raises red flags in crisis situations which are beyond his/her AOR.
13. Responsible for resolving crisis situations within his/her AOR.
14. Initiates and conducts code reviews, creates code standards, conventions, and guidelines.
15. Suggests technical and functional improvements to add value to the product.
16. Constantly improves his/her professional level.
17. Collaborates with other teams.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. University degree in Computer Related Sciences or similar.
2. Solid Java coding skill with 7+ years of experience as Frontend engineer (React).
3. Strong SQL knowledge with 7+ years of experience.
4. Experience in: React, RESTful APIs, and SQL. Strong foundation in computer science and engineering: algorithms, data structures, programming, databases, design patterns, virtualization, etc.
5. Knowledge of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, React.
6. Proficiency in object-oriented programming using Java.
7. Ability to organize and document solutions.
8. A passion for streamlining systems and processes to make the difficult trivial.
9. Strong OOP skills.
10. Result-oriented approach.
11. Experience with AWS (S3).
12. Support EST/PST time zones.
13. C1 English with effective communication (oral & written), collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
14. Remote work model.
