Bluelight, a leading software consultancy, is seeking a senior backend-focused engineer to join its rapidly growing team. You will build scalable RESTful APIs, work with Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS, and contribute across the full stack when needed.

The role requires 5+ years of professional software development, a Bachelor's degree, and a strong focus on performance, security, and multi-tenant architectures.

Qualificações

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with integration to other services via SDKs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations.
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices including integration tests against real databases.
• Experience with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Strong full-stack capabilities and ownership mindset.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
