About the Role [100% Remote]

As a Frontend Engineer at Clever Real Estate, you will work closely with our team to design and implement user-friendly interfaces for our platform. You will play an essential role in shaping the future of the industry by crafting seamless experiences for our customers and internal teams, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, maintains, and refactors user interfaces using React, React Native, NextJS, and Gatsby.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and fellow engineers throughout the product life cycle.
• Ensure a best-in-class smooth and interactive experience for our customers.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the team through participation in forums like architecture reviews and guilds

This candidate has...

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in React and Typescript
• Strong understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and UI Testing
• Strong understanding of design patterns and when to use them or not use them
• Strong understanding of Git
• Experience with NextJS, Gatsby, or React Native is a plus
• Experience with AWS or Vercel is a plus
• Ability to break down complex problems and collaborate with others on tradeoffs and alternatives
• Strong communication and documentation skills

The ideal candidate also has…

• Experience with MVC frameworks like Django or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with NextJS, Gatsby, iOS, and/or Android.
• Experience with TailwindCSS or other similar CSS frameworks
• Experience with automated visual testing tools like Selenium or AI-driven testing services.
• Experience with AWS or Vercel.
• Experience with Microservices or “Miniliths.”

Compensation & Additional Information

• Compensation: $70-80k USD/year
• We are looking for full-time engineers who can work ~40 hours per week in accordance with your local employment laws.
• Clever Real Estate operates on a flexible work schedule with core business hours from 9 AM to 5 PM CT, Monday through Friday. We accommodate variations in schedules as long as team members have a significant overlap (3-4 hours) with the core business hours.
• Our team works with an Agile methodology, encouraging collaboration and adaptability throughout the product life cycle.
