FinOps Weekly is seeking a FinOps Engineer to oversee cost governance across Data, Cloud, and AI platforms. You will collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Data, and Platform teams to drive cost-efficient decisions and develop dashboards for financial efficiency.

The role emphasizes rightsizing, tagging, chargeback/showback, and monitoring cloud spend across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with a focus on sustainable, scalable infrastructure.

Formación

• Experience with FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or cost optimization in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in financial governance of infrastructure, budget control, and consumption tracking.
• Proficiency in chargeback, showback, tagging strategy, and cost allocation.

This role is crucial in overseeing the financial governance of technical environments, focusing on operational efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability across Data, Analytics, and AI platforms. The FinOps Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Architecture, Engineering, Data, and Platform, to drive cost-effective technical decisions and enhance the financial oversight of cloud resources.The primary objectives include monitoring and analyzing infrastructure costs across various cloud platforms, identifying opportunities for computational resource optimization, and implementing FinOps practices.
