Role Overview: Accounts Payable Analyst
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting the end-to-end payment lifecycle, including cash management, payment processing, account reconciliation, and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Global Payments: Manage payments to employees, tax authorities, and third-party vendors on behalf of clients using our Payment Services platform.
- Maintain Payment Schedules: Update and monitor monthly payment run lists to meet strict processing deadlines, ensuring inclusion of all scheduled, quarterly, and ad hoc payments.
- Coordinate with Operations Teams: Work closely with Global Operations to receive approved payment files in line with payroll schedules and confirm submission of payment instructions to clients.
- Client Communication: Notify clients of fund settlement dates, follow up on outstanding funds, and confirm receipt of client payments.
- Bank File Management: Upload payment files to client banking portals and internal platforms in accordance with payroll cycles and SLA agreements.
- Query Resolution: Respond promptly to client and internal inquiries related to payments, funding, or reconciliation.
- Support Client Onboarding: Assist with onboarding new clients into Payment Services by reviewing payment processing setups (PPS) and ensuring readiness for go-live.
- Prioritize Urgent Tasks: Manage and respond to time-sensitive tasks and unexpected changes to payment processing schedules.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- M.Com or MBA (Finance) is an added advantage
- 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Treasury, or Financial Operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word (advanced Excel skills required)
- Highly organized and process-oriented
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with payment platforms or banking portals
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Understanding of payroll operations or payroll accounting
- Background in financial services, payroll, or global payment operations
