The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for all sales results of mid-size and large accounts in a defined territory and for developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy for the assigned customer base. An essential part of this role is the active use of our CRM system (SFDC) to manage sales activities and customer interactions effectively, as this tool is the foundation of our sales framework, operational sales steering, and a key enabler for achieving targets.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks
  1. Promote the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or key account to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  2. Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy.
  3. Actively use SFDC to manage and document leads and opportunities, all customer interactions, and sales activities, ensuring that all customer and opportunity information is up-to-date and accurately entered in the CRM system.
  4. Analyze SFDC data for assigned customers to identify trends, generate customer insights, and track sales performance.
  5. Drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of sales activities.
  6. Assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to inquiries, and suggest products and services accordingly.
  7. Develop and implement account plans, and coordinate resources in line with these plans.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from accounts.
  9. Coordinate and participate in marketing activities within the assigned territory.
  10. Regularly assess the potential of each customer and develop plans to convert this potential into business.
  11. Manage and build strong, long-term customer relationships.
Qualifications & Skills
  1. Academic degree in life sciences or engineering (higher education is a plus).
  2. Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience, preferably in laboratory or process-based roles within Life Science.
  3. Proactive knowledge and use of SFDC and other CRM tools.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Intermediate to proficient English language skills.
  6. Self-motivated, energetic, results-oriented, capable of working independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
  7. Good teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  8. Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
  9. Proven proficiency in software tools, e.g., Microsoft Office.
