Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Brazil seeks an External Affairs Coordinator to shape healthcare policy, engage stakeholders, and align public policy with business priorities.

You will monitor legislative developments, provide strategic policy insights, and collaborate across functions to advance patient access and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Public Health, Law, Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Relevant experience in External Affairs, Public Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Public Policy, Institutional Relations, Market Access, or related healthcare functions.
  • Strong understanding of the Brazilian healthcare system and public policy environment.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Monitors and analyzes legislative, regulatory, and public policy developments impacting the healthcare ecosystem, patients, and business priorities.
  • Develops policy analyses, briefing materials, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders across government, industry associations, academia, healthcare organizations, and civil society.
  • Represents the company in approved external forums, working groups, and industry associations.
  • Supports the development and execution of public policy and stakeholder engagement strategies aligned with company priorities.
  • Leads and coordinates cross-functional projects involving External Affairs, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Affairs, and other business partners.
  • Identifies emerging trends, risks, and opportunities and translates them into actionable business insights.
  • Leads governance processes, project execution, budget management, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Job Description

At Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, we believe patients should have access to the innovations that can transform their lives. Our External Affairs team helps shape the healthcare environment by connecting public policy, stakeholder engagement, and business priorities to support innovation and sustainable patient access.

The External Affairs Coordinator supports the development and execution of strategies to advance an enabling policy and institutional environment for healthcare innovation within the Brazilian healthcare system. The role monitors policy developments, generates strategic insights, engages key stakeholders, and collaborates across functions to support business and patient-focused priorities.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Monitors and analyzes legislative, regulatory, and public policy developments impacting the healthcare ecosystem, patients, and business priorities.

Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Public Health, Law, Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Relevant experience in External Affairs, Public Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Public Policy, Institutional Relations, Market Access, or related healthcare functions.
  • Strong understanding of the Brazilian healthcare system and public policy environment.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Other Requirements
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical device, or healthcare consulting sectors preferred.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority and effectively engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and transform data into business insights.
