A mining company in Brazil is seeking an Exploration Geologist to lead the core shack team and support field operations. Responsibilities include geological logging, data collection, and utilizing geological software for mapping and interpretation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Geology, strong fieldwork skills, and excellent communication abilities in Dutch and English. This position requires a willingness to work on a rotational schedule in Brokopondo.

Qualificações

Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. is seeking a motivated Exploration Geologist to provide leadership to the core shack team and support the field team in achieving Mine Exploration objectives. This role involves safe, timely, and accurate data collection, geological logging, mapping, geochemical sampling, and contributing to resource definition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Core Shack team.

• Perform high-quality drill core and RC chip logging.

• Manage QA/QC programs and ensure sample dispatch to labs.

• Validate and compile geological data, update drilling summaries.

• Support field operations, ensure safety protocols, and conduct geological mapping.

• Utilize geological software (Gems, Leapfrog, MapInfo/QGIS) for data entry and interpretation.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology

• At least 3-5 years of related work experience.

• Strong fieldwork and geological interpretation skills.

• Proficiency in geological/GIS software and MS Office.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; working knowledge of Sranan Tongo.

• Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break at.
