In 2014, the Group started to focus on Process harmonization, Global Organizations, and Digitalization by opening a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Finance, IT, and HR based in Lyon.

Together with the CoE, the LDC Group created a Global Finance Team, called FPSO (Finance Processes & Systems Optimization), reporting directly to the Group CFO. Its aims are to:

1. Lead the Finance Transformation of the group
2. Digitalize LDC Processes and organizations
3. Help LDC adopt Finance best practices and tools

The FPSO team is an international group of experienced professionals with strong domain knowledge. They act as custodians of Group practices and solutions, coordinating various ongoing projects within LDC.

Job Description

The FPSO team seeks a Senior Specialist in Accounting to support the implementation of the internal Atlas V2 system, particularly related to Controlling within the Brazil Digital modernization Program. This individual will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify, develop, and implement leading business processes to drive transformation.

The typical responsibilities include:

Design and Build

• Ensure the Atlas core model's consistency and maximize re-use of existing system architecture to meet new requirements, in coordination with the FPSO team.
• Review and approve functional specifications, ensuring all cases are covered and documented.
• Maintain the ATLAS Core Model and supervise documentation of gaps between local requirements and the core model, prioritizing regionally.
• Validate tests conducted by regional Business Analysts (BAs).

Deployment

• Engage stakeholders to develop effective project relationships and address their needs.
• Support change initiatives with analysis and progress monitoring under project management guidance.
• Participate in data migration validation and support SAP integration discussions.
• Assist Regional BAs in system testing and cut-over activities.
• Prepare for and participate in project progress meetings with the regional team.
• Monitor implementation quality and update stakeholders on functional progress.
• Help analyze project KPIs, identify root causes, and develop action plans.

Processes

• Identify process shortcomings, suggest improvements, and support change management initiatives.
• Train key users and BAs on ATLAS functionalities and best practices.
• Propose improvements to methodologies, processes, and spreadsheets to enhance data quality and timeliness.

Support

• Validate tests on new releases and address system performance issues.
• Train users on system updates and changes to the ATLAS core model.

Experience

• Minimum of 3+ years' experience in accounting within a commodity trading company is desirable.
• Experience working in project environments, capable of roles from contributor to leadership.
