Key Responsibilities

As InPlanet ERW Operations Manager, you will:

  1. Operational Leadership:
    • Take full ownership of implementation and execution activities at the farm level.
    • Drive all operational processes (transport, spreading, monitoring) to ensure successful execution.
    • Manage local assistants and oversee third-party contractors for sampling, monitoring, transport, and spreading.
  2. Sampling and Monitoring:
    • Supervise and manage soil, water, rock powder, and vegetation sampling.
    • Install and maintain field monitoring stations and water samplers in collaboration with the science team.
  3. Farmer Engagement:
    • Ensure farmers follow operational protocols, track activities, and provide complete data for reporting and audits.
    • Actively communicate with farming partners via WhatsApp Business and other channels.
    • Lead data collection and support research to assess economic and agronomic impacts.
  4. Collaboration with Science Team:
    • Align scientific requirements with operational realities in the field.
    • Provide feedback to improve protocols and enhance scalability of ERW methodologies.
  5. Logistics and Coordination:
    • Liaise with mining partners and third parties to ensure smooth logistics for rock powder delivery and application.
    • Plan reapplications on existing farmland to maximize carbon dioxide removal and farmer benefits.
  6. Event Support:
    • Participate in and support events such as field days and agronomic fairs to promote InPlanet’s solutions.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive records in a CRM system.
    • Contribute to project reporting, including creating case studies and supporting Project Design Documents (PDDs).
  8. Process Improvement:
    • Continuously improve operational protocols to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Core Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Agronomy or a related field.
  • Expertise in multi-stakeholder management.
  • Experience in operational reporting, including key performance indicators.
  • Prior experience setting up and managing agronomic trials at the field level.
  • Strong understanding of farm-level operations.
  • 3+ years of experience in agriculture and farming.
  • Located in a strategic position to operate in the Central West and around the Triângulo Mineiro Region & North-Western São Paulo

About the Role

This is a hybrid position with a base in a strategic location, to cover our operations on Farms in the BR Regions Central West, Triângulo Mineiro region, andNorth-Western São Paulo, as well as potentially other farming sites across Brazil during key operational periods. This travel component is essential to support on-the-ground project implementation, farmer engagement, and logistics.
Language skills: Portuguese & English - However, strong English skills are not mandatory. We encourage candidates with varying levels of English proficiency to apply.
