Job summary

ENGIE Brasil Energia is seeking a hands‑on Environmental Compliance professional to ensure adherence to environmental licensing, regulations, and social responsibilities for projects. You will perform on‑site inspections, engage with licensing authorities, and coordinate with internal teams.

The role requires a degree in a relevant field, knowledge of Brazilian environmental legislation, and readiness to travel between company assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, Geography, Business Administration, Architecture, Economics, Sociology, or Law.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental licensing, regulations, and Brazilian environmental legislation.
  • Familiarity with geoprocessing systems and office software tools (word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations).
  • Valid Category B driver’s license and availability for frequent travel between company assets.
  • Self‑driven, proactive profile with clear and objective communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including communities, suppliers, public agencies, and internal teams.
  • A postgraduate degree in Project Management or Environmental Licensing and basic English proficiency are considered valuable differentiators.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental licensing requirements and the social aspects of company projects.
  • Conduct on‑site technical inspections and participate in meetings with licensing authorities, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Monitor environmental program schedules to ensure the maintenance of Operational Licenses.
  • Represent the Company before municipalities, government agencies, NGOs, regional committees, and local communities.
  • Support the implementation of social projects and investments, promoting environmental and social awareness.
  • Assess non‑conformity reports and propose preventive and corrective actions.
  • Review and validate measurement reports, technical reports, and field campaigns related to environmental and social activities.
