ADP SBS division is hiring a Manager of Product Development (Engineering Manager):

In this role, you will lead a team of software engineers who build and maintain microservices and web applications that support ADP Retirement Services, providing comprehensive retirement plan solutions to help organizations manage and administer employee retirement benefits. Your days will vary, involving check-ins with your team, whether stateside or abroad. You will facilitate work through coaching, provide leadership with realistic expectations and deadlines, review technical solutions for quarterly initiatives, and manage ad-hoc requests. You will be accountable for the quality of products that significantly impact people's lives.

To succeed, you need skills in three pillars: Software Engineering, Project Management, and Leadership. You should have a solid understanding of large-scale software development, including Microsoft technologies (.NET, SQL Server), JavaScript (Node.js and React.js), Cloud Services, Relational Databases, microservice and micro-frontend architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and stay current with technology trends. You should know how to manage software projects using Agile methodologies and follow best practices in the Software Development Life Cycle. Additionally, you will manage the careers of software engineers, fostering their growth alongside ADP’s growth.

Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively will keep your team informed of company initiatives and make leaders comfortable with your team's progress. Collaboration and idea exchange are central to our projects. You will be a role model, motivating your team and maintaining positive momentum and energy. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Experience in relevant technology roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Skills in Software Engineering, Project Management, and Team Leadership.
  • Experience with .NET or JavaScript (Node.js or React.js).
  • Experience designing and building technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Services, Relational Databases, microservice and micro-frontend architectures.
  • Up-to-date with technology trends.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Managing software engineers' careers and growth.
