  • Drive technical strategy. Ensure your team’s vision aligns with Hudl’s broader goal of empowering athletes and coaches and help define engineering efforts to stay ahead in the market.
  • Be efficient. Focus on outcomes over outputs, deliver high-impact work on time, and iterate quickly based on data and feedback.
  • Collaborate. Work with leaders from various disciplines to plan and deliver enhancements across the product suite, ensuring strong cross-functional execution.
  • Empower your team. Coach a team of four to eight Software Engineers, support their growth, and foster a culture of continuous development.
  • Champion Agile practices. Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies.

Priority is to hire someone who lives near our office in Lincoln, Nebraska, but we’re open to remote candidates in the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NC, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WY.

Qualifications
Must-Haves
  • Experienced. You have worked with cloud technology and built highly scalable software solutions, with a proven track record of handling large data volumes.
  • Strategic. You can set technical direction, align with company goals, facilitate design sessions, create architectural diagrams, and evaluate risks.
  • A mentor. You can support professional development through guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Excellent communication skills. You articulate ideas clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders on cross-functional projects.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Technical background. Experience with C#, React, React Native, Rust, Python, MongoDB, and AWS is a plus; familiarity with related technologies used at scale is valuable.
  • Product partnership. Ability to collaborate with Product Managers to shape and align the roadmap.
Our Role
  • Champion work-life harmony. Flexible vacation, holidays, remote work options, and meeting-free days to support personal life.
  • Guarantee autonomy. Open culture, trusted from day one; you’ll own your work and have the freedom to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. Resources and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. Modern offices and remote-ready tech stack and hardware.
  • Support health and well-being. Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups, and fitness partner Peerfit.
  • Medical insurance. Multiple plans including vision and dental; fertility and family-forming benefits available.
  • 401(k) contribution. Company matching up to 4% of your contribution.
