The Field Service Technician is responsible for being part of the Service Resident team to handle technical service inquiries and requests inside the IVD laboratory at a dedicated customer site. The role involves executing all dispatched service tickets related to POV demands, following the governance required for this position with excellence.

This position is part of the Field Service Operations located in Curitiba and will be remote.

You will be part of the Field Service Team and report to the Tech Service Leader, responsible for providing frontline support by troubleshooting and resolving issues with technical expertise. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventive maintenance, modifications, and service repairs on equipment, providing excellent and efficient service to customers, along with technical training on products, under minimal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times. Utilize business systems such as ServiceMax, SharePoint, KPI tools, Service Call Planning, and advanced team goals.
  • Communicate effectively with various levels of internal and external customers, recognizing and addressing their unique needs. Assist in training new Field Service Engineers to foster collaboration.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Associate degree (preferably in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or related fields)
  • At least 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey sophisticated information and generate reports
  • Ownership of Install Base management
  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record over the last three years

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • 3+ years of advanced troubleshooting experience
  • Developing relationships with customers to foster positive partnerships and enhance customer satisfaction and retention
