Job summary

Alfa Laval Brazil in Macaé is seeking a Project Engineer to lead offshore process equipment projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost and schedule while delivering value to customers.

You will coordinate Engineering, Service, Supply Chain and Operations, manage contractors, communicate with customers, and frequently travel to sites to ensure project success and compliance with Brazilian standards. Advanced English and strong PM skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Solid experience in Project Management.
• Experience with industrial/fabrication projects and process equipment; Boilers is a plus.
• Mandatory offshore market experience.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices.
• Advanced MS Project skills; Power BI knowledge is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Brazilian NR standards (NRs).
• Experience interfacing with customers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently and visit sites.
• Advanced English with ability to read/interpret technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Resolve operational issues and minimize delays during execution.

• Act as primary interface with customers and manage expectations.
• Link Customers, Sales and Execution teams for alignment.
• Oversee troubleshooting during warranty period.
• Track and report project KPIs for visibility of performance.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency and value.
• Foster collaboration across internal stakeholders.

About the job

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team in Macaé/RJ. This professional will be responsible for leading projects related to process equipment and solutions for the offshore market, ensuring delivery according to the pillars of Safety, Quality, Cost and Schedule, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, communicate and implement project execution plans.
• Monitor project progress, performance and costs, ensuring alignment with scope, budget and schedule.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation actions proactively.
• Resolve operational issues and minimize delays throughout project execution.
• Coordinate resources and interface with internal areas such as Engineering, Service, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure project success.
• Manage contractors and third-party suppliers, ensuring compliance with Alfa Laval standards.
• Act as the primary interface with customers, managing expectations and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the link between Customers, Sales and Execution teams, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage troubleshooting activities during the warranty period.
• Track and report project KPIs, ensuring visibility of project performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and customer value.
• Promote collaboration among internal stakeholders and facilitate alignment across functions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Solid experience in Project Management.
• Experience with industrial projects, fabrication projects, process equipment and Boilers will be considered a strong advantage.
• Mandatory experience in the Offshore market.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Project. Knowledge of Power BI will be considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with applicable NRs (Brazilian Regulatory Standards).
• Experience interacting directly with customers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Availability for frequent travel and site visits.
• Advanced English, including the ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
