A leading company in offshore engineering is seeking a Senior Engineer (Pre-Commissioning) in Rio de Janeiro to oversee project activities, ensure quality and safety standards, mentor junior engineers, and engage in technical discussions. This role offers a chance to contribute to significant engineering tasks in a dynamic environment and is open to candidates with the required engineering background and advanced English proficiency.

Qualificações

  • Engineering degree with CREA registration preferred.
  • Fluent or advanced English proficiency required.

Responsabilidades

  • Guide and monitor a team of engineers to deliver specific scopes.
  • Create and review technical documents, specifications, and methodologies.
  • Engage in field activities including mobilization of equipment and tests.

What will you be doing?

Title: Senior Engineer (Pre-Commissioning)

Summary: Work under the direct guidance of the team leader and more experienced engineers (functional area and/or project), executing engineering services aligned with your experience and training in projects and proposals. Activities may be onshore at the office, in yards, at fabrication sites, ports, offshore aboard company vessels and third-party vessels, and onboard client facilities. Follow industry best practices, internal Subsea7 procedures, and contractual obligations.

Additional responsibilities include: Supporting discipline-specific knowledge management and technological initiatives, actively adhering to HSEQ policies, and embodying Subsea7 values daily.

What experience do we expect?

Responsibilities:

  • Perform activities within projects or processes with quality and safety standards, contributing to meeting deadlines.
  • Guide, control, and monitor a team of engineers to deliver specific scopes.
  • Create and be responsible for technical products such as specifications, loading plans, lifting plans, methodologies, task plans, equipment lists, etc.
  • Prepare technical documentation and review documents from other engineers and suppliers, ensuring timely issuance and revisions.
  • Engage in field activities (onshore or offshore), including mobilizations and demobilizations of equipment, ships, and tests.
  • Supervise junior professionals.
  • Interact with clients and third parties, resolving complex technical issues and approving solutions.
  • Represent Subsea7 in meetings, audits, and technical discussions.
  • Access the Community of Experts (COE) as needed, mentoring junior engineers and interns.
  • Identify scope variations, document, and communicate them to project leaders.

Mandatory:

  • Fluent or advanced English proficiency.

Preferred:

  • Degree in Naval, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related with CREA registration.
