As the Email Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for executing and optimizing email marketing campaigns across High Tide’s diverse portfolio of brands. You will focus on improving customer engagement, conversion, and retention through strategic email and SMS campaigns. Your expertise in data analysis will drive the creation of high-performing campaigns, ensuring each campaign is optimized for maximum impact. You’ll manage email lists, create automated email flows, conduct A/B testing, and collaborate with design and content teams to craft compelling, data-driven email copy that aligns with branding. Additionally, you'll provide feedback to the email copywriter to ensure that all email content is effective and aligned with performance data.
In this role, your ability to leverage performance data and continuously improve email campaigns will be essential to achieving business objectives.
Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Management: Lead the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns aimed at driving engagement, conversion, and retention across multiple brands.
Data & Performance Analysis: Evaluate key email and SMS metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) and use this data to optimize campaigns and improve performance.
List Segmentation & Hygiene: Manage email lists by overseeing segmentation, hygiene, and weekly monitoring of list growth to ensure effective audience targeting.
A/B Testing & Optimization: Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, design, and customer segments to continuously improve engagement and conversions. Analyze test results to refine future campaigns.
Email Copy & Content Creation: Write compelling email copy aligned with brand voice and campaign goals. Work with design teams to ensure creative assets are optimized for engagement across all devices.
Providing Feedback to Copywriters: Provide feedback to email copywriters based on performance data, ensuring all email content aligns with brand tone, engages the audience, and supports overall campaign objectives.
Email Flow Management: Develop and optimize email flows such as welcome series, abandoned cart emails, and post-purchase campaigns to improve engagement and revenue generation.
Weekly Reporting & Insights: Generate and share weekly performance reports on email campaigns. Provide actionable insights and recommend changes to optimize future campaigns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across content, design, and paid media to ensure that email campaigns align with broader marketing objectives.
Innovation & Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest email marketing trends, tools, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to continually improve campaign strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in email marketing, with a strong focus on campaign execution, A/B testing, list management, and performance analysis.
Experience with Klaviyo is required.
Proficiency in HTML and CSS, and a strong understanding of email design best practices.
Experience managing email lists, including segmentation, hygiene, and growth monitoring.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and optimize email performance.
Experience with email and SMS marketing metrics, and the ability to make data-driven decisions to improve campaigns.
Proven ability to write compelling email copy and provide feedback to copywriters based on performance data.
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, managing multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Understanding of industry regulations, including CASL, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR compliance.
Familiarity with CRM platforms and workflow management tools.
