About the role

  • Our Engineering team, composed of 15 people, is integrated in the worldwide Engineering department and focuses on Capex Investments in collaboration with the GBUs (Global Business Units).
  • As an Electrical Projects Specialist, you will work on the electrical engineering of capex projects and support the plant for Electrical topics. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the development of our investments and have a positive impact on the reliability and safety of our electrical installations.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Deliver Electrical Engineering for multidisciplinary projects, including cost estimations, ensuring safety standards, and managing essential electrical scopes like substations and lightning protection.
    • Interface with other engineering disciplines and the maintenance team to ensure project reliability and performance.
    • Design and validate electrical grids in collaboration with corporate and plant specialists, providing up-to-date standards and technical expertise for Capex procurement.
    • Participate in project erection, supervision, commissioning, and start-up activities, offering technical support and troubleshooting to operational teams.
    • Support and audit sites in the Latam Region for electrical safety compliance, prospect new technologies, and promote best practices within the Solvay electrical community.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Electrical engineering (preferably Master’s degree)
  • Experience in engineering on industrial electrical network(s) and installations
  • Fluency in English and knowledge of Brazilian and international electrical norms (IEC, US standards).
  • Expertise in electrical network protection calculations, with specialization in power systems being a plus.
  • Experience in maintenance and operation of industrial electrical networks is advantageous.

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Brazil base pay reasonably expected for this role is R$ 206.640 to R$ 258.300 (with 30% hazard pay and 13o salary included) your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
