The role requires strong expertise in electrical systems, including troubleshooting, design assessment, and engineering documentation. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience with significant exposure to the oil and gas industry. This is a permanent position with an excellent expatriate relocation package to Saudi Arabia.

Electrical Engineer – Relocate to Saudi Arabia – Permanent Expat Relocation Package

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Unconventional Resources Producing Department (URPD) within the Unconventional Resources Organization at Aramco.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day technical support to Operations and Maintenance units for troubleshooting and fixing electrical systems, including documentation.
• Assess and advise on design, construction, maintenance, and operational electrical matters.
• Develop engineering conceptual plans for new installations and upgrades, including scopes, calculations, and specifications.
• Review project proposals and detailed design packages; participate in testing, commissioning, and Turnaround & Inspection (T&I).
• Maintain engineering documentation and drawings; analyze system performance and propose energy‑saving solutions.
• Ensure quality, cost‑effective, and timely solutions for upgrades, test and pilot new technologies, and maintain full HSE compliance.
• Lead feasibility and profitability studies for new facilities; contribute to business unit strategy and training of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; higher degree preferred.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience; 5+ years in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (NFPA, ANSI, IEEE, IEC, API, NEC, NACE).
• Experience with high‑voltage switchgear, transformers, motors, cables, and control gear.
• Proficiency in single‑line diagrams, protection schemes, motor schematics, substation automation, and synchronization.
• Skilled in electrical calculations (grounding, transformer sizing, cable sizing, load scheduling, lighting).
• Knowledge of power system studies (short circuit, load flow, arc flash, relay coordination). Familiar with ETAP.
• Hands‑on experience in installation, commissioning, testing, and failure analysis of electrical equipment.
• Ability to work remotely when required.
