About the Role

We’re looking for an Electrical or Control and Automation Engineer with Protection & Control (PAC) experience to help grow SecuControl’s presence in Brazil. You’ll combine deep technical know-how (knowledge of protection systems including relays and IEDs, and protection, control and automation of substations and transmission lines) with a proactive sales mindset. This involves hunting new opportunities, building relationships, and promoting our test interfaces directly with end users or through channel partners.

This full-time role reports to the Director of the Brazilian office and is based in Florianópolis – Brazil, with frequent travel required.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within utilities, generation and transmission companies, and switchgear/cabinet manufacturers.
  • Leverage your professional network to generate leads and set up technical evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with final customers and partners.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations, product demos, and proposals.
  • Represent SecuControl at trade shows, conferences, and customer training events.
Protection & Control Engineering
  • Collaborate with customers on solution designs, integrating SecuControl test interfaces into their protection & control workflows.
  • Collect and synthesize feedback from customer field reports to inform product refinements and application best practices.
  • Provide application feedback to R&D teams in Germany and Brazil, contributing to continuous product improvement.
  • Develop and update application notes, wiring diagrams, and test plans.
Customer Support & Training
  • Deliver technical training sessions (remote and onsite) for customers, sales representatives, and partners.
  • Act as the lead technical contact for escalations and product quality inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation, Power Systems, or a related field (Master’s a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in Protection & Control engineering, with a focus on relays or any other IED experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to blend technical expertise with a sales-oriented approach.
  • Portuguese and English verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Self-organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a small-team environment.
  • Willingness to travel (customer visits, trade shows, partner trainings).
