Alfa Laval Brazil seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical scope across multiple mid- to large-size projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. You will design complete electrical systems, MCCs, control panels, HMI panels, cabling, and create technical docs, FATs, and RFQs, while driving cost optimization.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in industrial settings, strong collaboration with Purchasing and Project teams,

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within industrial systems, process industries, marine, energy, or similar environments.
• Proven experience with electrical system design, MCCs, control panels, HMI systems, and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities for industrial equipment or systems.
• Good understanding of project execution, cost optimization, procurement processes, and supplier management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, sales, project management, and purchasing teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Handle the electrical scope of several mid- and large-size projects, ensuring delivery per timelines and budgets.
• Prepare technical specifications and RFQs for MCCs and electrical panels.
• Specify electrical components and systems for customer projects, systems, and plants.
• Participate in proposal development, sales support, and customer meetings on electrical topics.
• Drive cost optimization by improving design solutions, procurement strategies, and project execution methods.
• Support equipment start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting remotely or on client sites.
• Implement standardized electrical workflows, templates, and practices for efficiency, quality, and consistency.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to develop electrical suppliers and panel manufacturers.

About the job

Handle the electrical scope of several mid and large-size projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery according to established timelines and budgets. Perform electrical engineering activities, including specification of complete electrical systems, control panels, starter panels, HMI panels, cabling, technical documentation, manuals, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). Prepare technical specifications and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for MCCs and other electrical panels based on inputs from Process and Automation Engineers. Specify electrical components and systems for customer projects, systems, and plants. Participate in proposal development, sales support activities, and customer meetings related to electrical engineering topics. Drive cost optimization initiatives by improving design solutions, procurement strategies, and project execution methods. Support equipment start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities remotely or on customer sites when required. Implement and maintain standardized electrical workflows, templates, and engineering practices to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency across projects. Collaborate with Purchasing to develop electrical suppliers, panel manufacturers, and supply chain capabilities. Manage multiple hardware and electrical projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets defined by the Project Manager. Contribute to the development and implementation of standardized tender material and documentation for electrical and hardware solutions.

What you know

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within industrial systems, process industries, marine, energy, or similar environments.
