Job Title: Environmental, Health, and Safety Applications and Data Analyst

Role Overview:
Support and improve a portfolio of enterprise environmental applications and reporting services used across multiple sites and jurisdictions. You’ll focus on technical support, data integrity, enhancements, release coordination, and advanced environmental data analysis—translating regulatory and business reporting needs into supportable technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced (Tier 3) application and production support across environmental platforms and integrations
- Investigate application, integration, calculation, reporting, and data-quality issues using SQL queries, logs, source-to-target comparisons, and controlled testing
- Perform root-cause analysis, document findings, and implement/coordinate permanent corrective actions
- Plan and execute controlled data corrections, reloads, reprocessing, and reconciliations while protecting data integrity
- Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery, managing work through Jira (user stories, defects, sprint tracking, status communication)
- Maintain and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, views, report/API definitions, extracts, mappings, and calculation logic
- Support regular reporting needs, including regulatory reporting requirements
- Build and improve repeatable data utilities, validation tools, and traceable processes
- Translate requirements into technical designs, work items, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and deployment plans
- Coordinate development, testing, UAT, release communications, and post-release validation
- Support change management artifacts and proactively assess operational risk
- Support integrations across platforms such as Sphera, SAP-EC, ECOS, Element LIMS, PI/OIS, databases, file-based processes, and reporting services including Power BI
- Partner with platform owners on access, authentication, service account management, and environment issues
- Assist with migrations, legacy retirement, data retention strategies, and reconciliation
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles
- Drive knowledge transfer with documentation, training, and support process development
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Systems, or related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience)
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise application support, data analysis, systems integration, application development, or production operations
- Experience supporting regulated, operational, environmental, or data-intensive business processes (direct EHS experience preferred)
- Strong SQL skills (investigating stored procedures/views, data quality, historical records, defects)
- Experience supporting packaged/SaaS applications, integrations, release coordination, environment management, and vendor support
- Experience analyzing calculation logic, reporting behavior, source-to-target mappings, and date/periodicity rules
- Experience coordinating testing, UAT, deployments, incident response, and post-release validation
- Working knowledge of authentication/access management concepts (service accounts, certificates/secrets, directory services)
- Experience with change/service management practices and work management tools such as Jira (ServiceNow preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with environmental applications including Sphera EA/CA, SAP EC Transition Services, and ECOS, including Element LIMS interfaces/integrations
- Power BI experience (including semantic models)
- Familiarity with APIs and file-based integration patterns
- Experience with C#, .NET, Visual Studio for troubleshooting and maintaining integrations and utilities
- Reviewing solution architecture, data flows, security controls, and operational support requirements
- Comfort leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to improve analysis, documentation, and productivity
