This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business, which partners with farmers and customers to source, make, and deliver essential products.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Process Engineer will apply process engineering techniques and projects to improve moderately complex manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operational expertise, continuous improvement techniques, and project management skills. You will be a contributing team member on moderately complex issues related to operational domain. You will provide guidance and supervision of external third parties used on-site, and improve process stability, capacity, and availability by reducing variability and mitigating risks in the operational area. Your efforts will enable the operational area to meet variable and fixed cost and efficiency goals, while protecting our people, communities, environment, and assets, and honoring our business commitments. Key Accountabilities

• Collect and analyze operational data and trends, develop recommendations and plans to improve performance, and ensure consistent monitoring indicators and early warning alerts.
• Collaborate with maintenance leadership to plan and schedule plant system maintenance using reliability models and predictive technologies.
• Work with internal operations, technology, and finance stakeholders to monitor and manage site variable and fixed costs.
• Plan and monitor production shutdowns, ensuring legal compliance and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Partner with process engineers to analyze capital expenditures and moderately complex projects to find more efficient and cost-effective approaches to achieve higher quality and reliable results.
• Serve as a point of contact and interface with third-party personnel to set priorities, monitor safety, and improve their skills over time.
• Partner with relevant personnel from other departments within the site or across the business to benchmark practices and assist in strategy creation.
• Independently solve moderately complex problems with minimal supervision, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• Relevant work experience.
• Experience and skills leading moderately complex projects.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel.
• Other minimum qualifications may apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with operational data and design and application programs.
• Lean certification.
• Strong data analysis skills, including continuous improvement experience or certifications.
