The IT Business Consultant (Sales & Marketing) is responsible for overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of AI-enabled automation solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of sales processes. This role requires expertise in managing Sales Force Automation (SFA) systems, Distributor Management Systems (DMS), AI-driven analytics, and sales automation tools. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation initiatives and optimize sales operations through advanced technology solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIESProject Management & Implementation
- Work with key stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Supply Chain) to identify automation opportunities
- Define business processes and implement automated workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Scope, plan, and execute sales automation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and manage project timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
- Track key milestones, monitor project performance, and report progress through KPIs and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance and security policies.
- Manage Change Requests (CRs) and incidents, track post-rollout performance.
- Deliver user training and adoption programs for automation tools.
AI-Driven Sales Automation & Technology Enablement
- Drive the adoption of AI-powered SFA solutions, including image recognition for perfect store execution, route optimization, and AI-driven sales recommendations.
- Implement predictive analytics for sales forecasting and territory management.
- Leverage machine learning algorithms to enhance customer segmentation and trade promotion effectiveness.
- Integrate Conversational AI (Chatbots, Voice Assistants) for field sales support.
- Work on solutions to automate claim management systems and incentive tracking.
Application Vendor Management
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and technology partners to select, customize, and implement sales automation technologies.
- Manage vendor SLAs, contracts, and performance KPIs.
- Conduct regular reviews with vendor support teams and identify improvement areas.
- Ensure seamless integration between SFA applications, DMS, and enterprise systems (SAP ERP, CRM, BI Tools).
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales automation initiatives.
- Design and deliver MIS reports (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly) for senior management.
- Ensure data accuracy and leverage real-time dashboards for actionable insights.
- Track and analyse the ROI of CRs and new Sales solution investment
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSExperience & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in Sales Technology, IT Project Management, or Digital Transformation in the FMCG sector.
- Expertise in AI-enabled SFA platforms, Secondary Sales Management, and Perfect Store Execution.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based sales automation solutions (SAP S/4 HANA SD platform, SFA Image processing solutions, or similar tools).
- Experience with Machine Learning, Image Recognition, and AI-driven analytics for sales processes.
- Proven track record of managing & supporting large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), AI & ML, or knowledge of Cloud Platforms
- Experience inAI-powered chatbots, sales forecasting models, or trade promotion optimisation tools.
TECHNICAL AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS- Strong understanding of Business processes and experience driving various process automation initiatives
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to define project scope, develop project plans, and track project progress.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop metrics and KPIs to track project success.
- Understanding of integration tools like API
- Knowledge of SQL
