Role Overview

The Network Engineer is part of our 24x7 first-level support network team, focusing on network outages and related projects. You will be responsible for daily network activities, incident and change management, ensuring end-user requests are handled within SLAs. You will report to the Director, Global Networking, working onsite with a team of engineers.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in English, both verbal and written (85%+).
• 4+ years of experience in Networking (LAN/WAN & Security).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred; Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP), Fortinet Certifications (FCNSA, FCNSP), and ITIL are desirable.
• Experience with Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Switches, FortiGate UTM.
• Deep knowledge of Cisco, FortiGate, Brocade networking products, load balancers, firewalls, routers, switches, UTMs, Wi-Fi (Cisco/Fortinet/Aruba), including maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in networking concepts such as IPLCs, Leased Lines, MPLS, T1/T3/E1, VoIP, VPN tunnels.
• Proficiency in configuring WAN links, VLANs, and protocols like TCP/IP, SNMP, OSPF, BGP, RIP.
• Strong background in network security from desktop to perimeter levels.
• Proven experience with WAN protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP) and security mechanisms (IPSec, AES, 3DES, SSL).

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 Level 1 network operational support, capacity planning, infrastructure audits, security policy/VPN configuration.
• Support troubleshooting to maintain network systems, monitor proactively to minimize downtime, and meet SLAs.
• Conduct InfoSec activities and manage device compliance according to the InfoSec calendar.
• Handle incident and change management processes, ensuring requests are addressed within SLAs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and suggest enhancements to existing infrastructure.
• Create and deliver network documentation.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including vendors and support teams.
• Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, addressing issues promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and ensure seamless network operations.
