About the Team

The 1P Integrations Team is at the forefront of building and scaling a comprehensive suite of first-party eCommerce solutions. These include Online Ordering (websites, apps, kiosks), white-label logistics (Drive On Demand), customer support solutions, corporate ordering, merchant loyalty and rewards, and strategic marketplace partnership integrations. As part of a larger Platform Services organization, this team aims to help hundreds of thousands of merchants across the Americas grow their businesses and improve their working lives in one of the country’s largest industry sectors.

About the Role

Our software engineers work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to solve key business problems with elegant technical solutions. You'll operate our backend services and architecture that support all product functionality and will be challenged to consider the big picture — collaborating cross-functionally, as well as evaluating and executing trade-offs to maximize business impact for the company.

This role is hybrid with some in-office time expected and will report to an Engineering Manager.

We're excited about you because you have…

• B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of industry experience
• Prior experience working with backend tech stacks
• Ability to analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of systems
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, writing gRPC and REST APIs, unit testing, and architectural design
• Understanding of modern stacks and architecture (e.g., K8s, SQL and NoSQL databases, Kafka)

Nice to haves

• Experience with big data or large-scale distributed microservices and systems
• Experience with Java/Kotlin
