SUMMARY:

As a LA Financial, Planning and Analysis (F,P&A) Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, providing strategic support to Lubrizol Latino America Advanced Materials with financial planning, analysis and reporting. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. You will utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis of all operational aspects of the company to evaluate progress toward achieving goals and to map out future goals, opportunities, and challenges. You will review economic and business trends, past performances, etc. and anticipate obstacles and potential issues in forecasting the business performance.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies and plans to support the Lubrizol Advanced Materials, connected with organization's goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and guidance to the commercial & executive management team.
  • Analyze, research and summarize financial data and provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Support special projects, such as Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, Complexity reduction, Margin Enrichment, Product Line Optimization, Working Capital, and Cash Conversion Cycle optimization.
  • Financial Management Reports: Prepare and analyze reports including management P&L, sales and expense tracking to understand impacts on results from material and L&O (manufacturing) cost variations.
  • Price and Cost Monitoring: Track and interpret price and cost trends of business units, collaborating on strategies to realign costs and margins.
  • Risk Mitigation: Oversee surplus and out-of-specification materials, assist in decision-making, and coordinate with the Supply Chain and cost areas to minimize risks.
  • Support in the preparation of the annual sales and expense plan through financial projections, as well as in the long-term strategic plan and in the monthly/quarterly reviews of the plan (forecast).
  • Critical analysis of rebate contracts (SIA-Sales Incentive Agreements) and sales commissions.
  • Monthly calculation of commissions on sales and processing for invoice payment.
  • Analyze the financial viability of launching new products and monitor post-sales performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting (Preferable), Economics or production engineering with postgraduate or MBA in in finance area is desirable .
  • Language skills: English advanced (verbal and written), Spanish is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.

  • Cost area expertise is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, accounting, and modelling skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and systems like Business Intelligence tools (for example BOBJ, Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query) and knowledge of Excel
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP.
  • Motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organized and flexible to handle conflicting requirements and tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
