Platform Engineer Role at John Deere

Based in Indaiatuba/SP, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of application infrastructure, implementing monitoring and performance analysis solutions, and promoting good development practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain application infrastructure using tools such as GitHub, Grafana, JFrog, Docker, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes.
• Design and implement scalable, highly available distributed system architectures, serving as a technical reference for the team.
• Collaborate with cloud services, especially AWS, for solution development and implementation.
• Assist in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to optimize software delivery.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for efficient and repeatable infrastructure management.
• Participate in observability and monitoring practices for performance analysis.
• Work closely with the team to promote good development practices, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Minimum requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Advanced English skills, including broad vocabulary, good grammar, and the ability to conduct meetings, negotiate, and train.
• Experience with tools and technologies such as GitHub, Grafana, JFrog, Docker, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, serverless solutions, and cloud environments like AWS.
• Experience in software testing practices, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and monitoring.
• Proven ability to lead complex, large-scale software projects and mentor team members.
• Strong collaboration skills in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, distributed systems, and cloud services.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions.
