Job Summary:

Caterpillar Global Mining seeks a Continuous Improvement Manager to work with Strategic Account customers, managing the execution of continuous improvement portfolios that fulfill contractual commitments related to mining equipment application, operation, maintenance, logistics, and parts inventory. You will collaborate with major, diverse, and loyal customers to optimize their operations and develop/manage a portfolio of strategic projects.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with customers, dealers, product groups, and go-to-market teams to achieve continuous improvement and physical availability goals.
  • Collaborate with decision-makers to identify business needs and barriers.
  • Work with Account Managers to develop and implement strategies aligned with overall account goals.
  • Ensure contractual commitments are met by aligning internal and external stakeholders for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide expertise on equipment management, production optimization, safety, and application improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for continuous improvement processes, tools, and best practices.

Skills required:

  • Account Management & Customer Focus: Extensive experience in customer/dealer roles, proficiency in equipment management, application, and production optimization. Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and operate successfully in customer-facing environments.
  • Industry Knowledge & Decision Making: Deep understanding of the mining industry, including trends, regulations, and major issues. Strong decision-making skills and project management experience.
  • Effective Communication & Relationship Management: Ability to convey ideas clearly and build healthy relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Value Selling: Knowledge of principles for selling products, technology, and services, and the ability to differentiate offerings based on customer needs.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Pre-Advanced English proficiency

Preferred qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar products, policies, and procedures

This role may require 50% travel.
