Job Title: Land Title & Ownership Analyst

Salary Range: up to 1200 USD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST)

Note: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION

About the Company:

A leading technology-driven land services provider for energy companies, specializing in managing energy rights transactions, title determination, mineral ownership reports, and lease management using GIS mapping technology through our platform, Overdrive.

Position Overview:

We are hiring a Land Title & Ownership Analyst to support U.S.-based projects involving mineral and surface rights research. Responsibilities include conducting online title research, reviewing deeds and county records, calculating ownership interests, and preparing detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Title Research: Review county records to determine surface and mineral ownership using public databases.
  2. Ownership Documentation: Analyze title history and record findings clearly in reports.
  3. Report Creation: Prepare concise, accurate, and professional client-facing documents summarizing findings.
  4. Compliance & Accuracy: Meet deadlines and ensure reports meet U.S. standards and project requirements.
  5. Collaboration: Work independently while coordinating with U.S.-based project teams and supervisors.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 2 years experience in U.S.-based title or mineral research (county records, deeds, leases, ownership calculations).
  2. Understanding of surface vs. mineral rights and property rights in the U.S.
  3. Proficiency with Google Docs/Sheets, Adobe Acrobat, and online county databases.
  4. Strong English communication skills (C1+).
  5. Reside in LATAM and work CST hours.
Nice to Haves:
  1. Juris Doctor or law degree focusing on property, mineral, or real estate law.
  2. Experience with GIS platforms like Overdrive.
  3. Previous work with U.S.-based legal or land services teams.
  4. Background in energy/resource industries or real estate.
  5. Meticulous, analytical, and able to interpret legal documents quickly.
  6. Independent, deadline-driven, and good communication across time zones.
