Senior Software Engineer SAP ABAP - Indaiatuba/SP

As an SAP ABAP Analyst, part of the SAP agile delivery team at John Deere, located in the Indaiatuba/SP unit, you will identify, analyze, select, and apply new IT infrastructure components in manufacturing, engineering, and shop floor environments with SAP, using proven IT processes within a diverse SAP environment to support strategic business plans and processes. The role requires knowledge of complex designs for significant parts of the SAP infrastructure, and the ability to work within a complete infrastructure with a broad scope and solve well-defined problems with guidance and a lot of autonomy.

• Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions within an SAP/Non-SAP environment, utilizing relevant and cutting-edge technologies and programming languages;
• Tailor and configure modules and functionalities of the SAP system to address specific customer requirements;
• Integrate SAP systems with internal and external systems, ensuring interoperability and efficient data exchange;
• Perform maintenance on existing software, address bugs, apply patches, and offer technical support to end users;
• Identify and implement performance enhancements in the software to ensure system efficiency and scalability;
• Document code, processes, and solutions developed, and provide training and guidance to end users and team members;
• Collaborate closely with team members, including product managers, developers, business analysts, and solution architects, to accomplish project goals;
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the SAP domain, tech stack, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance existing products and processes;
• Responsible for articulating and elucidating our solutions to global teams and architects in English.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or related technology field;
• Proficiency in English for daily interactions with global teams;
• Excellent knowledge of ABAP OO and Fiori;
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with IT teams and business partners;
• Familiarity with SAP S/4 Hana, SAP BTP, SAP Ui5, Fiori, React;
• Understanding of business processes related to manufacturing and preferably multi-module knowledge;
• Experience with Unit Test Frameworks;
• Proficiency in developing microservices, APIs, and system integrations;
• Experience with Python, Flow Engineering, and LLMs.
