Overview
The Data Scientist Level 2 is responsible for understanding business needs and goals, leveraging statistical methods and tools to interpret data, and extracting insights that support decision-making.
What you will be doing
- Collaborate and perform moderate to complex analytical experiments. Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind.
- Work closely with the engineering team in the development of data deliverables for business consumption.
- Adhere to, and enhance, data visualization best practices.
- Collect, analyze, manipulate, and aggregate data from various sources for analysis.
- Develop and utilize algorithms and models to perform data and error analysis, improve models, and clean and validate data for accuracy and consistency.
- Report findings, make recommendations, and summarize analyses into clear, concise, and effective presentations. Provide training and guidance on data interpretation and application.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Perform data integrity audits.
- Develop, document, and track metrics and dashboards.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist or Statistician
- Proven success in performing analyses
- Good oral and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and tact
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, maintaining rapport with team members and outside stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Good facilitation and project management skills
- Strong data gathering, interviewing, and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of relational, NoSQL, big data, and graph databases
- Advanced knowledge of statistics and modeling approaches
- Proficiency in chart selection, readability, interpretation, and presentation of data
- Ability to translate goals into innovative ideas and solutions using original thinking
- Self-motivated with project management capabilities
- Ability to influence, motivate, and mobilize team members and business partners
- Skill in developing engaging and compelling presentation methodologies
- Knowledge of systems administration
- Familiarity with Linux, Microsoft, and Unix operating systems
- Up to 5% travel required
