Senior Software Engineer - Indaiatuba/SP

As a SR Software Engineer for our Labor Relations Solutions team at John Deere, you will have the opportunity to work on global applications related to IT LR products. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing diverse applications, owning processes and servers, supporting business needs, implementing global solutions, and coaching team members on technical matters.

1. Participate in designing and implementing scalable, highly available distributed systems;
2. Collaborate on the use of AWS cloud services for solution development and deployment;
3. Contribute to creating and maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality;
4. Assist in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines;
5. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices;
6. Implement observability practices using tools like NewRelic and OpenTelemetry for performance monitoring and analysis;
7. Work with the team to promote best development and innovation practices.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology;
• Advanced English skills for communication, meetings, negotiations, and team leadership;
• Experience as a Software Engineer;
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python, or willingness to learn both;
• Experience with Cloud platforms, preferably AWS;
• Experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL;
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams;
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Data Lake, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines;
• Experience in system integration, API design and development;
• Experience with automation and data analytics;
• Experience with automated testing, complex pipelines, and best programming practices.
