Myers EPS is searching for Electro-mechanical assemblers to join our team. We manufacture life-safety equipment that is used in commercial building and public spaces throughout North America. Our inverters are used for emergency lighting. When the power goes out, Myers EPS inverters provide power to existing light fixtures to illuminate the path to safety, ensuring that individuals can safely exit the building.
Job Description
Myers EPS is searching for Electro-mechanical assemblers to join our team. We manufacture life-safety equipment that is used in commercial building and public spaces throughout North America. Our inverters are used for emergency lighting. When the power goes out, Myers EPS inverters provide power to existing light fixtures to illuminate the path to safety, ensuring that individuals can safely exit the building.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required by production needs; this may include being temporarily moved to another department or area to help out or cross-train.
- Reads and interprets work orders, follows sample assemblies, pulls parts for shop floor orders and assembles parts/units to work instructions; or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device.
- Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, solders, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel.
- Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
- Performs intermediate assembly tasks as required.
- Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.

Education And/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to use various hand tools.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
