**Note: We are specifically seeking candidates with experience in the can industry, whether from can manufacturing or machinery production for cans.

Primary Purpose of this Position:

Lead the team to optimize current processes and performance for existing plant technology, ensuring industry-leading, best-in-class operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and drive the manufacturing plant’s process capabilities, implementing controls to ensure proper deployment and operation.
  • Provide technical support to improve operational performance and guide plant engineering and processes teams.
  • Foster collaboration among engineering teams to promote continuous improvement, KPI tracking, process control, plant simulation, and knowledge sharing.
Lead Technical Teams:
  • Manage technical teams to implement optimized and new processes efficiently.
  • Encourage innovation and continuous learning within teams to stay ahead of industry trends.
Project Management and Support:
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for operational plans, prioritizing within budgets.
  • Manage operational projects related to new capabilities, maintenance, products, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the capital projects team to ensure clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Share and implement best practices aligned with global strategies.
  • Train operational teams according to the global training strategy and maintenance plans.
  • Manage spare parts to optimize service levels and reduce inventory in line with global strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willing to be based in Jacareí/SP or Pouso Alegre/MG.
  • Experience in process optimization and productivity management in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent project management and budgeting skills.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, WCM strategies, and capital project development.
