TECHNICAL SALES

Quatre Recursos Humanos is looking for an experienced Sales person for a new position in the Dairy industry in Minas Gerais State.

Our client is a Danish owned company with over 50 years of experience in serving the Food Industry worldwide with quality analytical instrumentation. Operations in Brazil supply dedicated analytical solutions for quality and production control for the Dairy Industry. Their talented team is ready to help improve the efficiency, control, and profitability of their clients’ operations.

Responsibility

The Technical Sales (ISM) is responsible for the overall sales performance of selling Dairy products and solutions in an assigned territory and to specific customers in Brazil. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the ISM will work closely with other Industry Sales Managers, Market Segment Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and other personnel within the company. Complete the required number of sales calls of a minimum of 8 per week.

Maintain accurate records with respect to prospects, pre-implementation planning/proposal preparation, sales calls, quotations, pricing, etc., using the CRM system.

The ISM will work out of their home. Travel required is in the range of 75%.

Primary tasks

  1. Sell the company’s products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation.
  2. Complete the required number of sales calls of a minimum of 8 per week.
  3. Provide input and participate in the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products and services for the dairy industries.
  4. Create sales strategies for each account including Key Accounts and National Accounts.
  5. Train and share knowledge with fellow colleagues in Dairy areas.
  6. Give professional presentations to various types of people and organizational levels.
  7. Create and manage a territory plan including measurable goals, dollars by product line, and timetable for actions.
  8. Maintain accurate records with respect to prospects, pre-implementation planning/proposal preparation, sales calls, quotations, pricing, etc., using the CRM system.

Qualifications and skills

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Food Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Dairy Technician, or another related Dairy field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a sales role in business-to-business sales to the industry is required. The candidate has a strong track record of meeting/exceeding sales revenue projections in capital equipment sales. Experience in cross-selling and Value Based Selling (benefits and profit enhancement proposition) rather than selling price alone is essential.

Experience in driving revenue in technical products/instruments is strongly preferred.

Fluent English speaker and writer.

Computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite applications such as PowerPoint and Excel, are required for writing proposals and presentations.
