Job Description:
Reporting to our Product Process Deployment Jr. Manager, this role is dedicated to leading and delivering medium to large projects in the pipeline for Product and Technology Development/Implementation of new Processes and Raw Materials at our sites (Dry or Care & Treats technologies).
This person will maintain our portfolio of existing products by ensuring consistent delivery against key quality attributes, product performance, and quality targets. Significant collaboration is expected with Quality, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Planning teams.
This is a hybrid position, based in Mogi Mirim, with one visit per month to our Campinas site.
Accountable for designing, translating, and implementing Innovation, Renovation, and COGS Prime projects, delivering products and/or processes to meet key quality attributes and performance targets (nutrition, palatability, BEP).
Responsible for project management, including technical leadership for medium to high complexity projects from product brief to factory handover, and for updating project progress on the appropriate platforms.
Define and execute various projects: trial development validation plans, experimental setups, trial execution, and data analysis to quantify key process parameters at factory scale.
Responsible for creating and delivering specifications, standard operating conditions, and Level 1 troubleshooting information to achieve product attribute targets and ensure product quality and food safety.
At least 3+ years of R&D experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Proven experience in innovation projects, including implementation activities.
Understanding of how raw materials impact nutrition, product KQAs, performance, and process capabilities.
Knowledge of Q&FS in the food or pet food industry.
Advanced English proficiency required.
