Qualificações

The Drafter/Design Engineer is responsible for working with department managers and engineers to create concepts/designs for new (and modifying existing) systems/components, and also production on process improvements, new tooling, and fixtures.

You will make an impact in this role by:

• Producing drawings of mechanical/manufactured parts.
• Developing new CAD models.
• Updating and changing existing CAD models.
• Creating 2D and 3D models.
• Working with SAP - material setup, BOM, routings, etc.
• Applying internal practices and processes along with industry standards (ANSI, ASME, etc.).
• Providing design solutions that are mindful of form, fit, function, cost, and manufacturability.
• Collaborating with engineers and other departments on projects.
• Updating existing drawings and document packages.
• Helping maintain bill of materials, material setup, drawings, and other controlled documents and packages.
• Managing the change management system (such as ECNs).

Requirements

To be considered for the Drafter/Design Engineer role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

• Associates degree from a two-year college required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience creating drawings of mechanical/manufactured parts.
• Ability to apply principles of math, logic, or scientific thinking to a wide variety of intellectual and practical problems.
• Ability to effectively read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Must be able to understand blueprint information.
• Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
