Job Overview

Are you mechanically inclined and looking to start or grow your career in vehicle maintenance? As a Technician at Penske, you'll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a well-maintained fleet, helping customers keep their vehicles safe and on the road.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety for customers
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies for diagnostics and repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotations, lubrication, electrical, and cooling system repairs on gas and diesel vehicles
• Collaborate with your manager to learn new skills through training and coaching
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred
• Basic mechanical skills; 1-2 years automotive/diesel repair experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Problem-solving skills and comfort with tools
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in teams and outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Must comply with safety and DOT regulations, including drug screening and background checks

Physical Requirements

• Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally
• Work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
