As an SAP Cloud Operations DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for deploying Infrastructure as Code and building automation around custom internal tools. You will manage and deploy code through SAP shared DevOps services, GitHub, CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins), and solution integration for AWS services, PagerDuty, Jira, Slack, etc. You will support a reliable, scalable, and efficient internal tools stack by using your diverse technology skills, including DevOps tooling, troubleshooting, debugging, cloud computing, coding, scripting and infrastructure engineering.

THE ROLE

• Collaborate with internal DevOps teams to build secure and reliable AWS services
• You have a strong sense of ownership & team responsibility
• You have a great foundation and understanding of coding principles
• You can define the system landscape, identify gaps between current and desired end-states and deliver solutions
• Implement and enforce security best practices across AWS environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security
• Ensure compliance and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, PCI and SOC 2
• Conduct & participate in regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly
• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency and reliability of cloud operations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Solid experience in developing across the full-stack on a variety of technologies including Python, Lambda, Boto client, SQS, Sceptre, Cloud Custodian, Docker containers, Kubernetes and AWS ECS.
• Solid Cloud Operations/DevOps experience on AWS
• Solid experience in deploying infrastructure via Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Sceptre
• Experience with AWS development. Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, IAM
• Proficient in AWS networking
• Experienced working in a highly regulated industry
• Ability to prioritize & manage time efficiently
• Proven experience coding object-oriented and modularized software
• Experience building scalable, reliable and high-performing software systems
• Familiar with RESTful API design and service operation
• Must have excellent verbal and communication skills

GOOD TO HAVE

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent
• Familiarity with Sceptre for managing AWS CloudFormation templates
• Experience in the use and implementation of AI/ML technologies
• Cloud Custodian development experience is a plus
• Drive SRE practices by implementing strategies that improve the reliability, availability, and scalability of cloud infrastructure
