Design Technician - Electrical - Mid/Senior Level

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Design Technician to join our Sao Paulo office. The right candidate will have 15 years of experience in drafting for civil projects with an electrical background.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established standards.
2. Assist designers and technicians with preparation and review of engineering drawing packages.
3. Transform initial rough designs and ‘mark-ups’ into finished working documents.
4. Draft detail drawings of electrical and associated project components, layouts, and configurations.

Qualifications:

1. A sound knowledge of engineering design principles and construction methods.
2. Over 10 years of experience in electrical design.
3. AutoCAD and 3D modeling experience.
4. English language – Advanced English speaker (Essential).
5. Good interpersonal relationship.
6. Critical thinking profile.
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
8. The ability to meet deadlines while performing under pressure.
9. Successful experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple project responsibilities.
10. Ability to understand and complete projects with minimal supervision.
11. All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary for long periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
