Job Description
- Control the section for which responsible, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining Raffles standards. Prepare food daily according to business needs.
- Report punctually for duty, wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
- Coordinate with the Chef de Partie to organize shift duties, including mise-en-place, production, and service.
- Take orders from the Chef de Partie and execute them properly.
- Assist in writing daily requisitions for wine, dry store, food, and kitchen transfers for approval by the Executive Chef / Executive Sous Chef, ensuring high stock rotation.
- Maintain good employee relations and motivate colleagues.
- Follow specifications regarding portion size, quantity, and quality as per the recipe index.
- Complete daily checklists related to mise-en-place and food storage.
- Attend daily and monthly meetings with the Chef de Cuisine and other relevant meetings.
- Report machinery and equipment failures to the Chef de Cuisine and follow up on repairs.
- Check the main information board for updates on banquets and other organizational information.
- Keep the section clean and tidy.
- Pass all relevant information to the next shift.
- Document accidents and sickness in the logbook and report to the Executive Chef / Executive Sous Chef.
- Supervise Commis Chefs regarding personal hygiene and section duties.
- Assist in creating new recipes and menu ideas.
- Adhere to company policies on fire safety, hygiene, and safety measures.
- Perform other tasks of a similar nature as required.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Team player attitude.
Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role.
