BairesDev is seeking a Database Internals Engineer to join a 100% remote team. The role focuses on building high-performance storage engines and robust concurrency controls across scalable data infrastructure.

You will write efficient, thread-safe code in C, C++, or Rust and collaborate with global engineers to deliver mission-critical database solutions. Work from anywhere with flexible hours and competitive compensation in USD or your local currency, with hardware and software setup provided

Qualificações

• Proficient in systems programming languages
• Experience with high-performance storage engines is a plus
• Strong concurrency control knowledge is beneficial

Responsabilidades

• Architect and refine high-performance storage engines using B-tree or LSM-tree structures.
• Implement and maintain robust concurrency control and recovery mechanisms (MVCC/WAL).
• Optimize query execution paths for low latency and high throughput.
• Design and improve distributed data replication protocols for consistency and availability.
• Write efficient, thread-safe code in C, C++, or Rust for database tasks.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to shape next-gen scalable data infrastructure.

• Architect and refine high-performance storage engines utilizing B-tree or LSM-tree structures.
• Implement and maintain robust concurrency control and recovery mechanisms, including MVCC and WAL.
• Optimize query execution paths to ensure minimal latency and maximal throughput for complex operations.
• Design and improve distributed data replication protocols to ensure system consistency and availability.
• Write highly efficient, thread-safe code in C, C++, or Rust to handle mission-critical database tasks.
