YipitData in Brazil is expanding its Central Data Team to build and maintain data products that deliver high-quality metrics to clients. You will transform raw data into actionable insights, work with large data sets, and shape outputs to be scalable and decision-ready.

You'll learn our methods, apply SQL, Python and PySpark, and collaborate with internal teams to balance accuracy, speed, and customer expectations while delivering reliable metrics at scale.

• Be a trusted resource for internal stakeholders and clients, contributing to data feeds, analyses, and client reports.
• Improve the products, pipelines, and data feeds you own, following best practices while exploring improvements.

About the Role

We’re currently working on expanding our Central Data Team to increase our product portfolio with members who build, create and maintain our data products. Those with strong analytical skills who are passionate about data and excited to scale quickly to deliver top-tier products to our clients are encouraged to apply. The Data Specialist plays a critical role in transforming messy, raw product data into high-quality metrics that our customers rely on to analyze performance and make decisions. The core of this role is applying strong judgment to shape imperfect data into consistent, scalable, and analytically meaningful outputs. Each customer has unique business questions, data structures, and definitions of success. The Data Specialist works closely with internal teams to interpret these needs, resolve ambiguity in the underlying data, and design solutions that balance accuracy, scalability, and customer expectations. This role requires strong analytical thinking, comfort working with incomplete or inconsistent data, and accountability for delivering reliable metrics at scale. As Our Data Specialist, you will:

• Take ownership of high-impact work with guidance — whether that’s running or building data products end-to-end, supporting centralized data ingestion pipelines the broader team relies on, or building clean, granular data feeds that help clients dive into data.
• Work with massive amounts of data to answer our clients’ key questions about the companies we cover and datasets we analyze. You’ll learn our proprietary methods and techniques, building the judgment and mental models to understand why our data works — not just how to produce it.
• Use AI and tooling to accelerate your learning and work — assisting with queries, investigations, debugging, and repetitive tasks. You’ll develop the habit of validating AI-generated outputs rather than assuming correctness, building a foundation for using AI effectively throughout your career here.
• Become a trusted resource for internal stakeholders and clients, working with them to identify and answer key questions. You’ll contribute to data feeds, custom analyses, and reports consumed by the top investors in the world.
• Improve the products, pipelines, and data feeds you own — we value curiosity and experimentation, and we expect you to follow established best practices while also questioning the status quo and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Learn or sharpen SQL, Python, and PySpark skills starting with our two-month new hire training program covering technical fundamentals as well as our internal tools and processes.
