Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to conduct exploratory and predictive analyses, consolidating internal and external data to drive business value.

You will develop forecasting models and price analyses for global markets, lead data-driven initiatives with senior leadership, and collaborate with data engineers to scale data pipelines. Excellent English and strong communication are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Experience in Data Science with statistical modeling and ML.
• Proficiency in Python for analysis and automation.
• Knowledge of data governance and programming best practices.
• Experience with Big Data and Cloud technologies (BigQuery, Azure DevOps).
• Advanced English and strong communication.

• Conduct exploratory and predictive analyses, consolidating existing internal and external data.
• Lead key project agendas within the area with senior leadership, demonstrating impact, strategy, and value creation.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasting models and price analyses for the global pulp market.
• Lead collaboration with data engineers to ensure the efficiency and scalability of data pipelines.
• Define strategy, processes, and methodologies, ensuring traceability and reproducibility of analyses.
• Drive the evolution of data architecture and ensure the quality and integrity of the data used.
• Identify new opportunities for analysis and technical data-driven applications that add business value.
• Produce reports and dashboards that present analysis results and forecasts.
• Support the technical development of data scientists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Solid professional experience in Data Science, focused on: statistical modeling and Machine Learning; exploratory data analysis; management of Generative AI / Chatbot / Agentic AI models
• Proficiency in Python (libraries for analysis, modeling, and automation)
• Strong knowledge of programming best practices, data architecture, and governance
• Experience with Big Data and Cloud technologies (Google BigQuery and Azure DevOps)
• Advanced level of English
• Strong communication skills to translate technical analyses into clear insights for different audiences.
