Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our financial analytics and reporting capabilities. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement robust data pipelines that ensure the accuracy and accessibility of our data. Your expertise in working with large datasets will help drive actionable insights and support strategic decision-making across various departments.

In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing data storage solutions, ensuring data quality, and developing automated processes for data integration. Your contributions will enhance our ability to leverage data effectively and to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market. What we expect:

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; Spanish and Portuguese are a plus.

• Equity-First Compensation: Willingness to accept equity as initial payment, until we run the 2nd phase of our investments.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and automation tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
