Ambush is looking for a data engineering focused candidate to join a team working on data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and lakehouse architectures, with emphasis on data quality, CDC, and observability. The role involves handling data modeling, migrations from OLTP to OLAP, and ensuring exactly-once semantics across pipelines.

The team values collaboration, long-term thinking, and reliable, well-architected data solutions that scale with client needs and AI-driven insights.

• Data pipeline / ETL & ELT engineering
• Data orchestration & workflow management
• Medallion / lakehouse architecture (Bronze → Silver → Gold)
• Database & warehouse migration (OLTP → OLAP)
• Data modeling
• Data quality, validation & data contracts
• Data integrity & idempotency (deterministic IDs, exactly-once semantics)
• Change Data Capture (CDC) & event-driven pipelines
• Observability, monitoring & alerting

Tools & technologies:

• Orchestration: Dagster (also Airflow, Prefect)
• Data warehouse / OLAP: ClickHouse, PostgreSQL / Amazon Aurora
• Transformation: dbt, Python (pandas, PyArrow, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy)
• Open table formats / lakehouse: Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, DuckDB, Apache Parquet
• Data quality: Great Expectations, Soda, dbt tests
