Volvo Group LATAM in Brazil is seeking a Data Engineer to accelerate our Data & AI journey across Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Peru. You will develop and maintain scalable data solutions that support our regional Data Platform, Data Lake, analytics initiatives, and AI use cases.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience building and supporting data pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with ETL and ELT development and data pipeline orchestration.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools for coding and automation, e.g., GitHub Copilot.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data quality, and data governance principles.

What you will do

At Volvo Financial Services (VFS) LATAM (Latin America), you will play a key role in accelerating our Data & AI (Artificial Intelligence) journey, helping transform data into a strategic asset that drives business growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric decisions across Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Peru.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data solutions that support our regional Data Platform, Data Lake, analytics initiatives, AI use cases, and strategic business KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and integrations across multiple business systems and markets.
• Support the evolution of our Azure-based Data Platform and Data Lake ecosystem.
• Support data quality, reliability, governance, and operational stability of critical data assets.
• Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes for structured and unstructured data sources.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Business Teams, and Global Data initiatives to enable analytics and AI solutions.
• Support the delivery of strategic data products, dashboards, reporting solutions, and predictive initiatives.
• Contribute to automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data engineering practices, including the use of AI-assisted development tools.

Who are you?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience building and supporting data pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Solid SQL (Structured Query Language) skills and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with ETL and ELT development and data pipeline orchestration.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools for coding and automation, for example GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data quality, and data governance principles.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, or similar data platforms.
• Knowledge of Python, Spark, or other data engineering technologies.
• Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI initiatives.
• Experience with financial services, banking, insurance, or leasing industries.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps (Development and Operations) practices.
• Experience working in multinational and multicultural environments.
